Beautiful collection of spells and lore!

Very concise and beautiful looking collection of spells, folklore, myths and witchy tips!

It is so useful I bought the 2005 almanac already

This year I started reading new age and pagan books of all kinds. I was looking for things like candle spells and simple magic. It was a surprize for me to find out that there is a Witches' Spell A Day Alamac. I find it very useful because it gives you the lunar phases, colors and incence for each day. It gives you a spell or inspiration for everyday but it doesnt mean that you have to perform each spell. It is true that it gives an outlook to spells and holidays from different religions, but I dont consider it a christian or catholic book of spells. It is fun to read. After I got it, I bought one for my best friend and as soon as the 2005 was for sale, I got it too.

Don't take it too seriously

I think some people take books like this a little too seriously - it's meant to be fun, and informative if you approach it with an open mind. I don't think it rips off anything - I think the authors are trying to reach a wide variety of readers. I am Wiccan, and I'm not offended at all by this book. Flip through it, you never know what kind of little gem you might find. You just might become inspired or try some new ideas for self-improvement or awareness.

A Pagan Almanac for our Global Village

Pagans from every village across the globe are beautifully represented in this most unusual almanac. I bought a copy well before the new year but that didn't stop full engagement with the numerous spells, bits of information and cross-cultural rituals contained within Llewellyn's Spell-a-Day Almanac. I found that I gained a wider appreciation for traditions that I had never even thought of as having anything in common with my own. This almanac expanded personal horizons, for the better. I appreciate a book that makes obvious, though not forced, efforts to be inclusive and well-rounded. Two thumbs up, for a well done, much needed, international approach to spells drawn from diverse paths, rather than the traditional ones that are entirely grounded by Eurocentricity.
