A "must-have"

I get one every year ... it's FULL of information for day to day living.

Very good book

I really liked this book, I read it cover to cover. The articles are interesting and very informative. Being as technopagan as I am, I really appreciated the many web links included. I will keep this as a resource book.I do have one complaint, and so could not give this book 5 stars. Now, I have quite a collection of pagan themed books. A lot (maybe even half!) of them were published by Llewellyn. So, based on the number of Llewellyn books I have, I know they make lots of money. However, it seems they substituted spell-check for an editor on this book. There are so many grammatical type errors, it can get confusing. I hate having to reread sentences to understand them because someone didn't take the time to read it before publishing it. I expect a lot more from Llewellyn.

New and Improved

Sometimes packaging is what makes a product recognizable.  Sometimes a change in packaging calls attention to it.  The new "Wicca Almanac" is different from the outside in.  First of all, the name.  This is a new product for Llewellyn.  This is NOT the Magical Almanac, but something different and new.Gone is the traditional art cover.  The photo collage cover by Gavin Dayton Duffy differentiates it from the other Llewellyn material on the shelf.  And inside is something for everyone.Stories from "Sacred Sites in Manhattan" to "The Officers of Avalon", there is material by well known authors as well as newcomers.  Kerr Cuhulain, Gwinevere Rain, Steven Repko, Ellen Dugan and a host of others contribute their insights and ideas to a book that covers topics like "Lifestyles of the Witch and Famous", "Witchcraft D.I.Y", "Sweep Me Away", "W.W.W.", "Over the Cauldron" and "Eye of Toad, Ear of Newt". Of course, there is the Almanac, which travels the Wheel of the Year from March 20, 2003 to March 20, 2004.  This is very stylishly put together and includes newspaper snippets about witches and general material of interest to witches, which provides food for thought.Llewellyn has always offered well balanced content to offset their Almanacs.  All in all, this book is no exception.  A nice addition or alternative to their Magical Almanac, it provides much information and inspiration.

So much fun!

It is NOT too late to buy an almanac for 2003. This Wicca almanac starts on March 20th, the first day of Spring! It continues for a year, to Spring 2004. This book is so great for my attention span, I love things you can pick up and read at any point it opens. There are dozens of short stories, which have been contributed by a great variety of authors on different topics. One author states, "If you ask any five Pagans about their favorite books, you'll get five answers. My solution to this dilemma? Read everything." If you're not sure where to start, and almanac like this is a great idea to find out what your interests are. Learn about sacred sites, how to be a modern witch-mom, get ideas about Pagan sites on the internet, and discover different festivals and magazines you might not know about. It is true that you cannot beat the price on this book and the information it has to offer!

A blessed be for 2003 ! :)

This is a wonderful book they have everything in here from how to conduct a seance from how to raise kids in a a mixed religion relationship this review may not be of much help but words cant describe this book. It has very simple but powerful teachings in here and it is a "must have" for everyone not jsut wiccans or witches (even though it is mostly in that category) nut many of you who r not wiccans or pagans I still think this book will catch your eye and i know i have not explained much about it but like i said words can explain how good this book is. The price is good and so is the book. but i guess u would have to read it for yourself But but i highly recoment it the pictures in it are wonderful as well. If you are looking for more information about this book i would suggest that u go to a book store and skim throught it or check other sites out on the web but u will like i promise:) and i dont break promises . But any way if u get the book enjoy it becuase i am sure u will :) and if u dont u just missed out on something good but u must have your reasons : )but im sure if u are looking for something hat wicca based u will find it in here. Well i have to take my leave now it was a privilage talking somewhat about this book to you :) well blessed be to u all. :) ( i know i smile a lot) :)
