Living within Unwoven Time is a graphic medicine novel that illustrates the impact of life-altering loss on self-identity. The narrative focuses on the death of the author's father. However, the themes of the story resonate with many other forms of loss (i.e. loss of a dream job, loss of a marriage, loss of a house). The novel includes ten rules that support the griever as they move forward in their grief, as well as, insights into how the griever can be supported through their bereavement. Author, Christina Heyworth, earned her MA in Art Therapy & Counseling from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Heyworth has worked as an art therapy intern in hospice, bereavement, behavioral health, and community settings.
