Useful skills for professional & personal life

Book was clear, concise and easy to read and understand. It covers very basic skills and would be good for any staff but especially employees just entering the work force. It's a good review for everyone else.

Kudos to the authors for such a fantastic book!

Getting to the point

Living well, Working Smart is a rare find. Finally, a book that speaks to the vital needs of soft skill development without getting lost in concepts. I read business books in search of tangible lessons all the time and I seldom find books that I can pass along to my management team. The reasons range from differing levels of intellectual curiosity to a lack of time for extra reading. In this busy world getting to the point has never been more valuable. For me, this book is a smart and concise reminder of the essential building blocks to Living Well. The forty one soft skills apply to the whole person which makes it all the more effective as a business book. I will be buying a case to share with my team.

A Professional's Survivors Manual

This is an excellent book for the beginning or seasoned professional! It provides specific answers to situations that often arise in the workplace. The authors use a problem/success format providing the reader with an increased understanding of where they are likely to sabotage themselves and a better strategiey to employ in resolving their conflicts. As a college instructor, I am looking forward to sharing it's wisdom with my students!

Changing the odds in your favor.

This is a concise, self-empowering guide to how to live life more fully--getting what you want and need in personal and work space--for enabling one to become a more effective person to oneself and others. This is no sugar-coated quick fix handbook. It is filled with "truths" each one of which could be an entire book. E.g., "Build meaningful relationships first, and success will follow." It is a delightful mix of inspiration and application as the body of soft skills "common sense" is disclosed.
