The eyes of God

What a refreshing and excellent piece of prophetic writing.Sr. Barb sees compassionately with the eyes of God and invitesthe reader to remember the God who is lover, nurturer,parent.She reminds us throughout her writings of the call to love and how this call can be lived out authentically in community life.She writes from a spirituality of great depth that is comforting and challenging and is rooted in the Gospel. It is a healthy read as well, in that it speaks honestly and openly about powerand the tension of being in the world and yet trancending those things that bind us. There are questions for focus, reflection,and discussion after each chapter to help the reader integratethe insights gained. I found this book to be extremely empowering. I am not in a religious order, but reading this book certainly inspires me to consider what it could mean. A prayerful endeavor that maks me smile inside.
