Susan Mallery proves once again why she is one of my favorite Silhouette authors!

When Madison Hilliard is kidnapped and held for ransom, Tanner Keane is sent in to rescue her. Once he frees her from her captors he intends to return her to her ex-husband and her father. But Madison convinces him that it is her ex-husband Christopher who had her kidnapped in an attempt to extort money from her father. Now Tanner finds himself protecting Madison. At first he believes that Madison is like every other rich woman that he has ever dealt with: spoiled and worthless. But the longer he is with her, the more Tanner realizes that there is more to Madison than he first thought. After the destruction her marriage left in her life Madison is not looking for another man, however she quickly finds herself falling in love with Tanner. As they fight to outwit Christopher and save Madison's life, can Tanner accept that Madison's feelings go deeper than just gratitude for saving her life? Can he give them a chance to be together for good? Living on the Edge is loaded with action, adventure, and passion, just the way I love my romances! Madison and Tanner are both struggling to overcome their pasts and find their way to each other. Add to this a totally satisfying happy ending, and Susan Mallery proves once again why she is easily among my favorite Harlequin/Silhouette authors. Living on the Edge is a wonderful romance! Tanner Kease, the Bodyguard

A great suspense and HOT romance! Madison Hillard is kidnapped and Tanner Kease has been hired to bring her home. Tanner finds her but she doesn't want to go home. Madison has many objections to her husband and father's treatment of her and now she wants to get on with her life without them. Tanner and Madison are confined together while Tanner finds out who wants to hurt Madison. Now the book gets HOT and Ms Mallery gives a us a great story. Tanner can be my rescuer anytime!

Mallery has done it again with a action packed and sensual read!

LIVING ON THE EDGE is just another spectacular story by Susan Mallery. The author weaves a romantic and suspenseful tale about a "tough" bodyguard and naïve sweet socialite who survives a kidnapping and an abusive marriage. Tanner Keane is hired by Madison's ex-husband and father to find and bring her home as she's been kidnapped and being held for ransom. When the rescue goes bad, Tanner is forced to take Madison into hiding at a safe house. Tanner doesn't trust her but eventually gets to know her and believes she's not only been abused by her ex and not understood nor appreciated by her father but that her ex-husband is the source of the kidnapping. There is nothing soft about Tanner and as he learns more about Madison and her husband's involvement in the kidnapping, he begins to trust her and realizes that when the end comes, he won't want to her go. As for Madison, she's a sensitive, beautiful woman and afraid to trust Tanner. However, as the few weeks go by, she realizes she will never forget him, that he has changed her for the better and that he has touched her heart. This book is very fast paced, full of intrigue, action, suspense and a lovely story of two people who emerge from the "shadows and come out into the light". I highly recommend LIVING ON THE EDGE.
