A Real, Helpful Guide

This book is absolutely wonderful! It is far from preachy and cheerleadery, but more like a conversation with someone you've gone to for advice. This books advice is so well rounded that it can be read by someone who wants to change their career, lose weight, or gain confidence. It is really helping me go through the proper process of what I need to do to change things in my life that I want changed. I think one of the best pieces of advice that is given in this book is to ask YOURSELF the right question, that is something a lot of people forget to do. The Blanchards give you the honest answer to many questions by always reminding you that change is not easy and can force you to take alternate routes and there can be set backs to get where you want to be. But that is life and once you understand that, you can really accept the advice in this book. I suggest this book to everyone! Thank you Blanchards!

A must read

A must read for anyoune who has had it woth there jobs & is unable to see past tomorrow... Dream big, within three months I followed a DREAM & opened my own buisness... Changing Your Course: the 5-Step Guide to Getting the Life You Want (Live What You Love)

This is a very hands on book. Loved it. It goes on giving you general life advice to being very specific on what to do at the every day level to keep you closer to your dream life. When I feel at a lost I remember Bob and Melinda and I keep going. Stay positive and move forward!!!

Change your life by facing your fears

The Blanchards, living in Norwich Vermont, just a stone's throw away from me in The White Mountains of New Hampshire are living the life they want. Achieving the life you really want is an eye opener for people who "say" they want to make changes and live the life they love, IF they embrace the information, steps and tools provided in this book. Many people say they want to change but don't ever take the steps to do it and spend their life sad and complaining that they just can't do it, maybe because of finances or because of their own fear. this great little book has wonderful lists of Do's and Don'ts that can really help you take a good look at what you are doing. To take one quote from the book, "Listen to your instincts. Trust your gut. Follow your heart." I would like to add to that, Face your Fears. You are here one time, make it a good time!

Positivity + Practicality = A New Kind of Inspiration!

Unlike some "self-help" authors whose main qualification for helping is that they sit in an office all day long giving advice to other people for a living (which is fine, but it's one thing to give advice and another entirely to take it!) or even just that they somehow got a book contract, the Blanchards set themselves apart by practicing what they preach. These are people who are, even as I type this, out in the world living what they love. They work for themselves. They split the year between two beautiful locations that they love(Vermont and Anguilla in the Caribbean). From reading the book and their blog (www.livewhatyoulove.com) I can tell that they really are happy people - and I do believe that's why only they could have written this book: b.c they've rolled with the punches, and made and continue to make changes to their course to facilitate a happy life!So who better to help me make the changes I need to make to be happy? For my money, I'd rather take advice from someone who has done it, not someone who thinks they know how I should do it, you know? I found Changing Your Course to be a very motivating book - it's a rare combination of practical and inspirational. Using a simple 5 step program (D.R.E.A.M.) they walk you through all the real world details of how to make the changes you've been wanting to make in your life (whether big or small) so that every day you're doing something that you love. I'm a happier person for having read this book!
