Similar and Regular and Like Everybody Else

On the surface, this is a book about being a dwarf, but, in reading it, it's clear that this is a book on two people struggling with conformity and normality. Our main character has a mother who judges people by how well they fit in. Reading non-inspirational books, being around people who aren't perfectly formed enough is "depressing". It's a good take on the subject, really.
