Poetry. Megan D. Henson's second poetry collection explores the fluid identity of a ghost who calls herself Little Girl Gray and begins appearing to Henson at her bedside during a stay in a psychiatric hospital. Through this exploration in the form of sestinas, it becomes apparent that Little Girl Gray--a ghost who is both ageless and ensconced in pop culture--is Henson's alter ego, helping her cope with the complex roles of feminist, witch, writer, and teacher. It's through writing LITTLE GIRL GRAY that Henson begins to gain the confidence to believe in the things she already knows to be true.
