Keith Lee Johnson at his BEST!

I am NEVER disappointed when it comes to the Little Black Girl Lost series, Mr Johnson always reinterate's the stories before and brings you up to speed to jog your memory. I am not a very fast reader but I pick the book up on Friday and was done by Monday! that is fast for me since I take about 2 weeks to finish a book. Keith Lee Johnson has a away of taking you into the book and making you get lost in the series GREAT READ!!

Love it

Ok so now we are getting to the links of everything.. I notice a family member from the book of Hell has No Fury..(wnt spoil it) but yes great book, suprising climax and good ending to the beginning of 6!! which I am highly anticipating...I recommend this book to the fullest and if you dnt have the other books GO GET THEM!!

He has done it "Again"?

Once again Mr. Johnson has captured our hearts with the Little Black Girl Lost Saga! After reading this book I can honestly say I have a better understanding of this families life! If you have read any of the other LBGL books you will be drawn into this book and have a hard time putting it down. The background information and imagery will make you think you are exactly looking through a window and watching everything as it goes on in the book. Its nice to take a glimpse into the historical past of slavery and life back in that time. A great read for everyone. The key is to read these books in sequence so you can get a better understanding of the story. While book 5 opens with background information from the books past you will surely miss out on the the other books if you skip around. GREAT JOB!!!!! I cant wait until book 6 comes out!!!

Very Enlightening, Educational and Super Entertaining Story

What can I say about such a wonderful novel? First off, this is not the average novel. The whole series was enthralling to say the least. There was so much depth and realism, that i wondered if this story a real life memoir of sorts. This novel satisfied me on so many level. Mind you this is a close to 400 page book and I read it in a day and a half. I simply could not put it down. Aspiring authors could only hope to craft a story as detail and twisted as Mr. Johnson has done himself. The narration of the story was cosmic and generously told, but not overly so. It was drenched in history and truths that made me think outside of the page of the book and into my own life, which is rare with reads these days. One can only hope for a part 6. I would love to get to know Josephine Baptiste in full and it would really bring the series full circle. Thank you Mr. Johnson for another top notch read. It is always a pleasure to read your work.

So Who is Josephine Baptiste?

So after reading this book I finally got to know who Josephine Baptiste is, in Johnnie Wise's lineage of women. For some reason I thought Lauren was going to change her name or something. Anyway, this book picks up right where four left off, actually the last chapter of four is the first chapter in five. Johnson has done it again, created another hit that I am sure the followers of the Little Black Girl Lost series will enjoy. There is so much scandal, deceit, lies and revenge in this book that keep the pages turning one after the other. The author does a great job in developing his story and making you want to reach the final end to see what happens next. The beauty and conceit of his main character you can visualize by the vivid descriptions and dialogue. This book was very juicy and educational as well. I felt like I was learning about how life was for African Americans back in Slavery days. There were so many complex relationships and situations addressed in this book, such as the placage system, quadroon balls, and tignons that had me in awe. It was really sad the way blacks were treated in this time, but I liked that Keith shed some light on some of the affluence that some of our people were accustomed to during those times that isn't really in history books. I am the author of My Eyes Are Green and You Had Me at Hello and I learned so much from good story tellers such as Mr. Johnson.
