I have a plan. It's not brilliant, but it's simple. Beat the bullies at their own game.
I'm no stranger to being bullied. It all started a few years ago when my dad decided to move in with his boyfriend. The kids at school tormented me over it, and I comforted myself with music and books, and the friendship of my neighbor, Luke, the only one who seemed to understand me.
That's why Luke's the perfect accomplice to my new plan when life starts to get rough again. I might not be able to fix my own problems but maybe I can help my other classmates. I devise a simple way to find out their problems and provide them with a little black box-mysterious, anonymous, and bearing a personalized remedy: music, books, movies...even cupcakes.
And it works-until one of those bullies turns out to be my best friend. My secret plan changes into one of revenge. At first, it feels good, but then the wrong person gets hurt. Betraying people isn't solving anything, and worse, it's putting more than a fence between me and Luke. Now I have to face the consequences of my own little black box and mend my relationship with Luke before I lose everything.
