"There can't be any more fires," Sean said as they drove down Davis Road toward the realtor's office. From the very first sentence of the book, the mood is set for my psychological thriller, "Litter." With each subsequent chapter, the tension increases due to the interactions between the neighbors and the environment in which they live. Augusta, Georgia, the setting for the book, and the fictional neighborhood Sycamore Springs is filled with wooded pristine beauty. But even within the Garden of Eden, there were snakes. Encounters with puss moths, black widows, poisonous snakes, alligators, and even an anaconda in the Phinizy Swamp Park are elements within the book that will keep you on edge. The secrets that each of the characters possesses are the psychological components that will keep you guessing along a path of many twists and turns within the story and are reflective of the title and the emotional baggage that we all carry. Litter was the recipient of the Georgia Independent Author of the Year Award for best horror/thriller in 2022 and the story has many layers resulting in an overpowering and emotional ending with one final plot twist that I promise, you will not see coming
