Heavy but worth it!

When I write it's heavy, it is literally. The American Experience is equal to the PRentice Hall British Tradition. There are the usual information and assistance if you are going to be a language arts teacher in a secondary classroom. The book prepares you on the material better than you expect. Of course, I didn't pay full price so I received it without the compact disc. I think the weight of the book is a bit much for students as well as teachers but the quality is superb with colorful pictures and usual American literature. It has a great variety without spending so much time on one writer/author or poet. You have a large selection of choices.
