In this tale, Gaspard recalls meeting Lisa on the first day of school; and Lisa makes up a story about her summer vacation adventure. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a very slyly written book, adorably illustrated, and very clever. Any child can empathize with not having a story to tell and envying others. My kids always giggled when Lisa started her hilarious exaggerations. And for those that criticize this harmless little story, realize that children know better than to mimic everything in a book. Otherwise you'd better not read them Cat in the Hat cause they'll trash your house, or Harry Potter because they'll jump off the roof with a broom.
