Lion Of God

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to experience Dr. Mitchell as a professor at Multnomah Bible College, as did my father and grandmother. This well-organized, well-written biography gives a beautiful, challenging picture of who this great, humble man was. Full of little stories told about him and by him, I smiled constantly as I read this. I was also challenged spiritually by the simple principles this man lived by. I was especially moved by chapter 14, titled "Husband". I rarely see husbands treat their wives the way John Mitchell is described to have treated his wife, nor a wife so sweet and submissive and strong next to her husband. I want that for my marriage. This is a wonderful, unique Christian biography to read about the founder of Multnomah Bible College. If you attend or used to attend the school, you must read this!
