John Wiley & Sons Inc presents Katta Murty's Linear and Combinatorial Programming, published in 1976. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have not read all the book, and probably never will since linear programming is now directed to using the tools and focusing on modeling rather than in the mathematical rigor behind the algorithms. The book is challenging and will not take you on a step by step basis. rather it assumes you have a sofisticated background so as to answer the casual prooks it requires (not of them easy). The real power comes form the modelling tips and the exercices that are so complete and difficult that once you get through with those all other pale in comparision.
