Really enjoyed this book, read it on a rainy Saturday afternoon, it is sad but enjoyable at the same time, and I think how Jesse dealt with her best friend's suicide was written well and understandable and seeing her cope and try to move on from it I really enjoyed, I don't know of any other books by this author but thought her writing was quite nice, there's themes of friendship as well as some romance throughout which is always nice, and Leanne's character is told through flashbacks which i thought worked really well I could see the transition from present to past perfectly. Those who love 80s teen books like I do will like this and should give it a read, especially if you have a friend that you think is unhappy or experiencing suicidal thoughts or if you just happen to like writing about that stuff. It's kind of ironic it has such a serious thing in it but the book still managed to be and endearing light read while at the same time not downplaying the seriousness.
