This book is not for everyone. I have tried to "force" it on others and have found that it just doesn't resonate with them. If God has you at a point that you can't do the Christian Life anymore this book will teach you how to live it through the indwelling power of Jesus Christ. I found I was living a lot of my Christian life through my own power (flesh). It looked Christian, it felt Christian but still was a false power that came from my own strength. I knew it was when I got burned out. Gal. 2:20 says it well "It's no longer I who live but Christ within me." Learning how to let Christ live through you is what this book is all about. The first half is a lot of terminology that is foundational. The last part is very practical giving you real ways to see changes. This book and the Exchanged Life seminars really did change my life.

I had no idea who God was, and what I meant to Him, until I read this book. To know that I am truly loved by God without condition, without condemnation, changed me entirely. I finally GOT what it meant to be "saved". I realize that not everyone will accept this book and will take it out of context, but if you prayerfully seek God's voice you will hear it in the pages of this book. Thank you, Mr. Gillham.BTW, children ARE selfish. I have four, and they were all self-centered until I TAUGHT them to be otherwise. That is my job as a parent. Fortunately, as self-centered as children are, they are also most generous as well. Which one of those traits; self-centeredness or generosity, you chose to nurture will guide your child for the rest of his life.
