Great precursor to LifePrints level 1

This book starts with the alphabet and recognizing a few simple words. The print is large and the pages are not filled; ideal for students new to literacy in any language. The instructions and diagrams are kept simple. The stories and sentences are very simple. The black and white illustrations are clear. The activities consist of circling, matching, copying, and fill-in-the-blank. I recommend the teacher's edition, but not the audio CD (they didn't put each listening exercise on a separate track, so it's not much better than a cassette).
