In a world of danger and dark enchantment, the most treacherous magic is desire.... Trained in the arts of war and possessed of extraordinary healing gifts, Imoshen was one of the last of the legendary T'En, an ancient race who'd ruled Fair Isle for six centuries. But now, in the space of a heartbeat, all that Imoshen holds dear is gone...lost to invading soldiers and the relentless general who led them. All his life Tulkhan had heard tales of the...
If someone suggested a sci-fi/fantasy/adventure/romance novel to me, I'd probably refuse to read it and will rue the day, esp. if it's anything like this Broken Vows. I am a historical-romance book reader and haven't really ventured out of that genre yet. But Cory Daniells T'En trilogy definitely caught me off guard. When I picked up this book, I thought it's another one of my historical-romance reading material, didn't know...

My wife is the author of this book, but she will not let me read anything until it is actually published! Strangely enough, when I finally did get to read Broken Vows (alone on a two hour plane flight where she couldn't stop me), I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't half bad. In fact it is damn good. I would recommend it to anyone trapped on a plane for two hours. No seriously, it is a good read.

The Ghebite forces led by General Tulkhan defeat the mystical T'En to take control of Fair Isle, a place they ruled for six-hundred years. Amongst the captives is the last surviving female T'En, Imoshen. Even as his own Elite Guard fears her and his priestesses would declare his prisoner void of a soul, Tulkhan can see the intelligence in her eyes. Still, he too worries that the powerful T'En will capture his spirit.The...
