Poor quality

The book itself is interesting but was advertised as acceptable quality. It came with tons of rips, and some sort of yellowish/brown fluid staining on the bottom of most pages. Its feels incredibly grubby and dirty. I have no problem with used books but this one was repulsive even my children didn’t want to touch it.

Great book,not in " GOOD" condition though.

Love the book. Lots of great information. Cute and thrilling pictures. But the used copy I received was really, really worn. Pages ripped and repaired, one page not repairable l. I went through taping pages to hold it together. Bought it for our school library,but will have to be a read aloud only by adults to the students; can't let it go out into circulation because it will fall apart quickly. But these and other " actual size books" are great for kids to see.

Not just for kids!

OK, this book is something special. I know that because it appealed to my teenagers...and not young teens, either-- 13, 16, 19! We got this for our young nephews originally, but were inspired to buy several, as more gifts and also to keep for ourselves. Believe it or not, this is a terrific "coffee table" book. One-to-one size pictures of animals you'd never see up close...there is even a fly on the face of one of the creatures! And it is certainly the closest you'll ever be (and live to tell it) to the open jaw of a tiger! Wow. Amazing photos, information and not expensive, especially considering it's a book of high quality photos. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Highly Recommended Animal Book

This book was really interesting to both of my kids (4 and 5) and also to the adults (mom and dad). It was great being able to see the animals life-size. You see details you would not see otherwise. I highly recommend this book.

Zoooooo Crazy

I bought this book for my son's sixth birthday. He was so excited and has a great time looking at the HUGE pictures. We do look at it together due to the difficulty with the large pages, however this is in no way a complaint about the book! Some books just need special attention and this one is surely worth it! It is a great example for little ones in regard to actual size. This book is a treasure in our home.

Awesome animals

This is the most awesome introduction to animals. You see them close up in full size -- not the whole animal, of course, but portions, such as nose, tail, horns, etc. Every animal page has a sidebar with additional close-up information the reader might not have noticed. A brilliant book for children to treasure and refer to frequently.

The next best thing to an actual trip to the zoo
