THE LAST INSTALLMENT, SAD, BUT IT IS SOOOOOO CUTE, LIKE THE BEST!!

FANG AND EMILY, ON A CRUISE, IN ALASKA?? WITH SOME ELDERLY PEOPLE?? UH OH... LOL, I SERIOUSLY LAUGHED OUT LOUD. EMILY IS HILARIOUS WITH THE OLD FOLKS!!!!!!

ahhh, amazing.

I don't know why some people have said this book isn't as good as the others in this series, 'cause if anything, it's one of the best, besides The Year My Life Went Down The Loo. I just finished this book last night...it was soooo hard to put down. Emily is as hilarious as ever, yet toward the middle/end of the book, we start to see a different side of her as we hear of her homesickness from England and what her and her father do to commemorate the trip. Behind her crazy antics, we can see a true person, especially when she's with her sweet, adorable boyfriend Fang or during that aforementioned moment with her father. (or Brother, as he is called in the book =) ) Plus, her fun with Dru's wedding banter and her e-mails to Holly, Devon, and her father at random times just really make you laugh. It's just an amazing series, considering how Maxwell can turn an immature-at-first-glance teenager named Emily into a layered character, even through all her antics and really freakin' hilarious scenarios. It's something you can read and just laugh/crack up, but also have moments of "awww" and "oh man! =O" If you really want something to read on the beach or just anywhere where you can relax and have a good time, this is the book for you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. =)

Another Winner

Another winner from Katie Maxwell. Entertaining romp about Emily and Fangs adventures.

Hilarious fun

Emily Williamson is back again in the latest installment of her series. This time, she gets ready for graduation, endures her best friend Dru's constant wedding talk, is devastated when her boyfriend Fang gets mono, and goes on a cruise to Alaska with Fang. Emily does not disappoint with her charming way of talking, all of her cute net lingo in her emails, and, of course, her idiotic but hilarious blunders. This book was a bit slow in the love department, considering the fact that Fang has mono and as a result Emily can't kiss him. But that's alright - Fang's sweetness and his obvious care and concern for Emily compensates. I hope Ms. Maxwell will continue the Emily series. They're great books if you're looking for something light and quick, and they never fail to make you smile or laugh at Emily's antics. I can't wait to read the next one; hopefully Fang will have recovered from his mono, and I also want to read about Emily's experiences at college! A great chick book written in emails, Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Hotties is another installment of the Emily Williamson series that should not be missed. Recommended.

Emily Heads to College

Emily is going through teenagedom meltdown. She's finally graduating from high school, however, graduation is nothing like she expected it to be. Even Buffy had a better graduation than she did. Fang - her lovable boyfriend - hasn't called her in three weeks. THREE WEEKS!! Which is totally sending her off the deep-end. She's finding that moving into a college dorm has it's ups and downs - getting away from parents, WAY up; sharing a dorm with a bunch of science and techno geeks, WAY down. Her bestest best friend ever, Dru, is planning her fantasy wedding to Felix - her uber-sweet fiance who just headed out of the picture to do a four-year stint with the military - when she has more than enough time to make everything perfect before they actually tie the knot. And - dun..dun..dun... - poor Emily has to board a cruise as a graduation present without her hottie hott boyfriend. How is a girl to survive when she has so many aggravations pitted against her. I have loved Emily since THE YEAR MY LIFE WENT DOWN THE LOO, and with each book, Katie Maxwell's hilarious situations, and crazy confusions have gotten increasingly better. So I was sad to hear that the series was ending. Until I heard about the release of LIFE, LOVE, AND THE PURSUIT OF HOTTIES. It is so exciting to have the chance to read more about Emily and her wonky mishaps - and in college, no less. Emily is the best friend a girl never had, but always wanted, and her adventures will put a smile upon anyone's face. A MUST read!
