If you want to know what Don Cupitt has been thinking since "After God," his only American book to reach a wide audience, this is a good place to start. He prolificly publishes small tomes which consist of summaries of his recent writings and the next step in the furthering of his thought. It is almost as though the finished book shows him thinking on paper in front of the reader. He takes pains to disclose the book is a work in progress, just like the author.
