Discusses facts and myths about pirates who sailed and plundered on the seas from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I borrowed this book from the library and read it cover to cover. I found it to be an excellent overview of piracy and thought it would be handy to have on my bookshelf if I wanted to reference something quick, just gloss over a fact or something, but as soon as I saw the price, I decided against the purchase. The meat of this book is only 81 pages, the rest is bibliography and a couple of pages of glossary. As it states in the description, all the pictures are in black and white and there are plenty of them, making 81 pages of writing more like 50. Still, it's filled with good information, just not worth the price tag.
