Hits Home in Louisiana

This is a book that I love to read in my classroom to my students. The kids love its colorful pictures as well as Mr. Goodrum's choice of words! He was once a teacher of mine when he was writing this book and it delights me everytime I open it!

Great book for children wishing to know more about Cajun s.

The art work is spectacular in detail and color. If children wish to learn more about Cajun cul- ture this is an easy way of doing it. Good for non-readers as well as those old enough to read because of the art work. I would highly recommend it. Unfortunately most book stores keep it in the "Local interest" section instead of children's section. For the price...well worth the money and excellent for gifts
