Scotland during first world war

Absolutely Loved this Book !!! A story that captured my heart from the very beginning to the very last word of the last page !!! Its emotional, and at times heartbreaking, filled with romance, hope, and years of true love !! Brilliantly written details, and characters so well described...you can picture them in your minds eye, even the landscape on Skye..you can just imagine its beauty, and sounds, and smells. The Story starts out as a young college student from America, that has just read the authors book of poetry, and he decides to write to her, as she lives in Scotland. It starts innocently enough, giving her Praise for her wonderful writing, and beautiful poems. She in turn writes him back, thanking him...and could hardly believe someone from America has even found her book, and read it, and is now writing to her as a fan! They strike up a light friendship...writing back and forth to each other, asking questions about each other lives, where they live, their interests, What books and different authors they like, him telling her in bits and pieces about his college life, her describing what it's like to live on the Island Of Skye, surrounded by ocean, giant cliffs, green, green fields, sounds of waves, and seagulls, just a small quaint village...away from everything. They begin to talk about, family, graduating college, Hope's and dreams...life in general. It starts as nothing more than pure friendship, But as time goes on..you can read between the lines..the back story of how this relationship is developing into something more for the both of them. They struggle with feelings neither could, or would, have ever imagined ! They continue writing to each other, and confess their feelings of love for each other. So much happens, from the start of world war 1, to them finally meeting each other in England...before he joins up, and goes to Paris as a volunteer ambulance driver. They writ each other through the war. Each others life line, and true love ! There's So much more to this Great story, that will shock you...have you scared for them...and cheering for them! Just a great read, romantic, tender and sweet. So glad I saw and read the intro to this book..that made me want to purchase it. This story will definitely stay as one of my keepers...Just Loved it All the Way Around ! Just the Style of it...two people finding each other and Love through letter writing !!! Great Read I highly recommend.!
