A riveting "masterwork" worthy of Clancy and Grisham

Cutrer and Glahn have crafted a compelling, intriguing, mystery which may well cause you to read late into the night. Their storyline is so tightly written, and interwoven with riveting plot twists, that the reader steps into the action and is propelled forward through page after page of unfolding drama. You will love this book!

Thrilling Christian Novel

Lethal Harvest is a compeling novel. The story blends genetic research and cloning with the decisions which must be made by the Christian physicians. Scientific decisions are very easy to understand. How far does the doctor/scientist go in developing cures for diseases while staying within the Christian ethics? You want to keep reading. It holds your attention from the first page to end. I would highly recommend for a home or church library.

Good stuff

If you like the work of Michael Crichton, Robin Cook or Bill Myers, you will love this book. Dr. Cutrer and Sandra have done a wonderful job of writting a book that addresses current issues in our society while still having a great story line. It has just the right amount of medical/technical content and does a great job of making the characters seem very real. Often Christian authors will create characters that are almost two dimensional and too good. The characters in this book are very realistic (i.e., not perfect, but still doing their best to serve the Lord). I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading anything else Dr. Bill and Sandra have written!

An Attention-Grabbing Thriller

Lethal Harvest by William Cutrer, M.D. and Sandra Glahn. Kregel Publications, 2000, 407 pages.Looking for a vacation carry-on that will hold your attention even against airport announcements or bikini-clad babes? Wanting to sit glued to a good summer read to escape less-engaging activities? This fast-paced medical thriller fills the bill. The genetic research and cloning which drive the plot come straight from today's headlines. If you recognize ambition, jealousy, grief, or compassion, the characters could be among your friends. The simultaneous revelation of story and character creates a tension between the potential good and evil of cutting-edge research. Are risks not inherent in true progress? Can a doctor's personal lust for status and power provide the needed dedication to propel his work? What degree of benefit for many justifies sacrifice of lives or personal relationships? Is there a point at which man's dominion and God's authority overlap?Cutrer and Glahn have created a world so believable that researchers may want to cure their imaginary disease. You may struggle with the ethics of curing millions at the expense of a few. Ben and Marnie may remain your friends after the pages end.

You won't be disappointed!

Jump in "head first" and be prepared to move with your mind in this thought stimulating adventure into a fictitious "never-a-dull-moment-could-be-real" world of a cast of characters who will quickly travel their way into your heart. As the co-authors reveal and develop circumstances in the lives of recognizable personalities, your emotions will be touched many times over,,,love, joy, compassion, grief, surprise, anger... This is a story of a group of individuals and their families, involved and affected by an infertility clinic's research, filled with hopes, dreams, dedication and devotion. By motivating the reader's thinking into the continually advancing medical abilities, this writing will encourage formation of personal and ethical considerations. A delightful reading experience,,,you'll love it.
