Ted Patrick deprogrammed someone in July of 1976, that I knew from the college where I worked back then. I knew also the party of one the "cult leaders" as well. I knew something was "strange and weird" but who would have guessed. She was a very angry "soul" afterwards. I read this book and I found the entire mechanics of the deprogramming and the methodology behind it, interesting. Since then, I have had a number of friends who have belonged to various groups deemed "cults" of which I have no comment. This book is excellent.
Deprogramming from cults

This book helps expose the evils of many so-called "religious" groups that use brain-washing tactics to deceive their followers into becoming fanatics. The book is an excellent exposé of the tactics used, as well as basic insight into the true, and dangerous nature of many cults. In an era of religious tolerance for everything, it seems, except Christianity, books like this are invaluable in pointing out that not all religions are so "holy".

The author describes a period of his life when he was exposed to cults. He describes methods used to "kidnap" the children out of cults and "deprogram" them at the instructions and payment from the parents of the children.
