Everybody Wants It

My husband bought this book for me because he knows I'm a cat lover, but it took me forever to read because everybody else kept stealing it. My daughter started taking it to school to read on the bus and said she'd give it back to me as soon as she was done. After a while I realized I hadn't seen the book for a while, so I asked my daughter what happened to it. She said her teacher saw it and "borrowed" it and was going to give it back to her as soon as she was done. It took me a month to get a turn with "Lessons In Stalking," but now that I finally have it, I understand why EVERYONE who picked it up couldn't put it down. What a wonderfully funny book!

One thing is missing...

As an author, coach and speaker I read lots of books. The difference between the usual books I read and "Lessons in Stalking" by Dena Harris is that this one is very, very funny! I was reading about grape benadryl and laughing so much that my son wanted to know what was going on. I read the story out loud to him and my wife and they found it a hoot too. Whether it's a cat foaming at the mouth, a husband trying to get the last of the foam off after a cat bath, or a couple doubling their pleasure(?) by adding a kitten, the personal vignettes penned by Dena Harris in "Lessons in Stalking" are entertaining, instructive, and very, very funny. Whether you own a cat now, have owned cats in the past, or are trying to justify to your spouse why you absolutely can't get a cat this book is for you. Oh yeah, it might even be for you if you want to get a cat. I highly recommend "Lessons in Stalking" for you and all your cat friendly friends. And the one thing that missing? That would be more stories! Kevin Decker

Funny, funny book

A must for all cat lovers. Lessons in Stalking is 20 of the funniest (and true) short stories on cat ownership. It's a quick read and great for anytime you'd like a little humor in your life. Dena has shared some very true, witty stories about being a pet owner -- and in particular, being a pet owner. You're chortle at Never Feed a Cat Grape Benadryl, Kitty Jihad, Jingle Ball Horrors, Tacky Tape Sucks and other reasons why I can't own nice furniture. and Morning Revelry. But to be honest, they're all funny. If you own a cat, buy this book!

A giggle-fest from beginning to end

"Adventures in Stalking" is 15 funny cat stories from one of today's leading cat-humor writers. These delightful little tales, punctuated by winsome drawings that capture the playful antics of the author's felines, are must-list reading for anyone who owns cats, loves cats or just enjoys laughing. Even if you don't have a cat you'll want one after reading "Adventures in Stalking" so as not to miss out on the fun. And if you do have a cat, you'll revel in this master humorist's ability to turn the silly things that all cats do into something truly hilarious.

A great little book, even if you don't own a cat!

I started to read this book and couldn't put it down. The humor is non-stop. Dena Harris is simply a wonderful writer and I don't even own a cat! I was giggling at the butt-wipe adventure when my husband walked in and I shared it with him. We both laughed and then I caught him reading later after I finished it. It's an easy read, I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a laugh or a great gift idea to friends with cats. Go Dena! Can't wait to read the next one!
