A Beautiful, Beautiful Book!

It is rare that we would describe a business book as beautiful, but this one truly is. Not only is the artwork subtle and well integrated to contribute to the physical beauty of this book, there is beauty in each story or lesson. You will find well written, detailed case studies on the application and success of Appreciative Inquiry in settings ranging from schools to communities to entire nations. The how-do portions of the book are powerfully written yet easy to understand (in contrast to some of the more academic works on this subject). My favorite 'lesson' comes from Father Greg Banaga and relates the principles of Ai to the teachings in the Bible. Just one example of the uplifting nature of this book and the ennate quality of the Appreciative Inquiry Process. Buy it for its practical, informative text, love it for its depth and beauty.

The diffetrence between AI and Systems Thinking

not so much a review but how does this differ from socio economic systems thinking and systems ideas based on innovation and creatively. These ideas have been around for many years, hundreds if consider zen. for example, there are a number of basic ideas: 1 systems don't exist 2 there are alway two systems in operation - the problem context system and the problem solution system 3 the PSC can only make a partial intervention into the PCC 4 multiple perspectives and bounded rationality always exist 5 system are open and not closed 6 all attributes of a system can kill the system whether specified or not 7 all decisions are a trade off of key attrtibutes specific to the individual 8 all system exhibite emergent properties
