This book was as good as the first in the series. Several years ago Melissa broke Logan's heart when she turned down his marriage proposal and went to Houston to pursue a career in journalism. When Melissa comes to town to film a series on notorious outlaw Jessamine Golden, Logan is determined to find out why she told him she loved him but then left him to further her career. Logan ended up marrying someone on the rebound and the marriage only lasted a year. Melissa was hurt several years ago when Logan's brother's ex girlfriend told her about a clause in their father's will that said the first brother to marry would inherit their family ranch. She really thought Logan loved her and even held out hope that he would follow her if he really loved her, now she is back 10 years later and she still has feelings for him. Melissa finds out that Logan married someone else only months after she left so he must have never really loved her. When the Jessamine Golden story takes a new twist, Melissa stays in town for a while to cover the story. She and Logan finally talk and realize they were deliberately mislead years ago and each was made to think the other didn't really love them. They renew their relationship, but now Melissa has a new life in Houston and Logan realizes he can't ask her to give that up... This story was sweet and sensual and even had a little mystery. Great read.
