Since the government took over most of India's banks in 1969, both how people use banks and how banks are set up have changed a lot. The goal of this thesis is to find a consistent way to deal with the human problems of a bank that the government has taken over.
By figuring out what stops people from being productive, banks in general and this unit in particular can solve their own problems by coming up with a new way to organise that fits the needs of the organization. This point is what the thesis is mostly about. As a working banker, I've always thought about how the problem would work in real life and tried to find a practical solution.
