This is a story about the lives of my parents and of their descendants, highlighting my mother who was the rock of the family. My parents emigrated to Canada as young adults from different regions of Galicia in Ukraine in 1905 and 1906 respectively. They met in the farming region south of Winnipeg, married in 1912, and settled on a homestead in the bushlands of northeastern Saskatchewan in 1913. They had seven children, and by 2023 there were 110 descendants. One hundred are alive, between the ages of one and 94. The descendants had 56 spouses, 36 are living. The descendants integrated into Canadian Society as Proud Canadians and contributed to Canada and the world in many ways.
