what a wonderful flowing story of the country life in Neshoba County, Miss A wonderful story about rural life in Neshoba County, Mississippi. The author tells of the trials and tribulations and the racial and religious views of the Posey family. Her flowing style of storytelling is excellent. It also depicts the work ethic and family togetherness of this time. Being over 60 I could remember the hard times and good times of the people in this period. Mattie "Parilee" is the oldest daughter of Wade and Annie Posey and the story is told through her eyes. Her love for a Catholic boy is a central issue. Read and enjoy.
