A must read for anyone with the slightest thought of leaving...

A lawyer suggested this book the same day she told me I could not afford to leave....yet. It is the one single item that best helped me through the worst time of my life. I never thought about having a safe place to go, nor would I need one since I was the one leaving.....then the world fell in and I had to vacate immediately. Without having planned for 'the non-existant emergency' I would have been lost. I read chapters that I did not consider applied to me since as I would not be new to the work force and my children were 'older,' and found bits and pieces of info that I applied to situations they probably were not intended. I am an avid reader of many types of books and I consider this the one book that most affected my life (I don't count the Bible....it's a given). Please read this book if you struggle in a difficult relationship. This book will help you through the struggle.

IF you're brave enough, break out a highlighter

This is a great book, with lots of "REAL-LIFE" advice. And let's face it, there's lots advice given to us by friends who mean well, and REAL advice given by those who have been there. This book will help you, even if you choose NOT to leave. It deals with the real world as it is, and what a woman needs to think about most during a time she where she may not feel up to thinking. Where are you going to leave to? How are you going to support yourself, your children? This books helps you deal with the real nitty-gritty hard questions.
