I finally succeeded at learning to crochet!

I have been trying off and on for several years to learn how to crochet. Friends tried to help me, my mom tried to teach me, I tried to learn using YouTube. I would get frustrated at my tight stitches and inability to turn my work. I could make a long chain, but I could never move on to the next row. This book explained from the outset to set aside two hours to learn the basics. I guess I kept thinking that I should have picked it up faster and is likely why I wasn't able to learn how to crochet before. I didn't set aside enough time. And wouldn't have felt comfortable asking someone to set aside TWO HOURS to teach me the basics. The writer encouraged me through her writing and also built taking breaks into the lesson, which I did need! I have a long way to go, but I now know the basics and have made two practice pieces. 😁
