This study aimed to determine the chemical constituents, toxicity, antioxidant potential and larvicidal activity of Aniba rosaeodora Ducke essential oil against Aedes aegypti larvae. The essential oil (EO) was extracted by hydrodistillation at 100 C for 3 hours. The main chemical constituent found in the EO of A. Rosaeodora was β-linalol 63.16%, considered very promising for pharmaceutical synthesis. In the toxicity test, the LC50 ranged from 582 mgL-1 to 282 mgL-1 and was classified as non-toxic. EO showed larvicidal activity with an LC50 of 41.07 mgL-1 and relevant antioxidant activity. Based on the results found, it was possible to assess that the EO tested was composed of substances with a good larvicidal effect compared to Aedes aegypti, thus favouring its application potential.
