Information on Sales-to-Date and Additions in the 1997 Edition

"Life Everlasting" was first published in 1967 and promptly received wide acceptance and readership. Though the author was unaware of what would follow, it now is apparent that his book was the precursor of hundreds of other "life-after-death" studies which would follow during the next few years. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross's "On Death and Dying" was published in 1969; Raymond Moody Jr.'s "Life After Life" in 1975; George G. Ritchie's "Return from Tomorrow" in 1978; Maurice Rawlings' "Beyond Death's Door" in 1979; Kenneth Ring's "Life at Death" in 1980; George Gallup Jr.'s "Adventures in Immortality" in 1982; and dozens of other books on the subject followed them. (A chronological listing of 50 of those earlier books is found on pp. 24-25 of Arvin Gibson's profound book: "They Saw Beyond Death: New Insights on Near-Death Experiences.") "Life Everlasting" was first published by Bookcraft, Inc. (in Salt Lake City) and it went through more than 35 editions which they produced. When Bookcraft was sold to Deseret Book Company, the copyright was returned to the author, and publication of the book was undertaken through Horizon Publishers & Distributors, Inc., in Bountiful, Utah. At that time (1997), six chapters were added to the book, along with numerous other insertions: a total of about 175 new pages. This allowed the author to share many of the near-death insights which had come into his posession during the 30-year interval. The new chapters were: "The Light, the Tunnel, and Meeting the Savior"; "Premortal Influences on Earth Life"; "The Amazing Capabilities of Spirit-world Beings"; "The Quest for Knowledge in the Spirit World"; "The Spirit Prison--Temporary Realm of the Uncommitted"; and "Eternal Family Relationships and Vicarious Work for the Dead." "La Vida Sempiterna Volumen 1" does not contain those additions. They are published in "La Vida Sempiterna Volumen 2." The author indicates that "Those with copies earlier than the 1997 updates are missing some of the most informative chapters in the book!" At present, well over a half-million copies of "Life Everlasting" are in print. The book continues to have significant sales every month, more than 40 years after the book was first published. The author also reports that "One of the most rewarding aspects of my life is the many people who continually share near-death and life-after-death episodes with me which they or their family members have experienced. Since 1967, I'm sure I've talked with somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 such individuals. Many of them comment on what a comforting influence "Life Everlasting" has been in their lives, especially in situations where a loved-one has passed beyond the veil. Numerous others have complimented me because of the careful documentation of the experiences reported in the book. Some have even checked my sources and have happily reported that they found every one they searched for, which I knew they would. It's great to have written and produce
