A beautiful spiritual and historical quest.

"La Mujer Dormida Debe Dar a Luz", or "The Sleeping Woman Must Give Birth" is an amazing autobiographic book written by Mexican writer Ayoucuan, who was one of the clue figures and leaders in the 1968 student riots in Mexico. What does the title stand for? Well, the Sleeping Woman is no other than humankind. What must they give birth to? To new ways of living and to a new era. Forget the Age of Aquarium and all that New Age garbage that is being published elsewhere. This books gives you a deep, spiritual and simple approach to that transformation which we all must go through at some point of our lives, whether we are living in one era or another. But the way Ayocuan transmits his message is wonderful, because he tells us his own story, the story of a young college graduate who met a German veteran that had been Minister of External Affairs to no other than Adol Hitler...yes, the book takes us back to World War II. Here Ayocuan writes the story of the veteran as he heard it, including his comments about the true intentions of the Nazi regime in Europe, some astonishing revelations about Nazi travels to Tibet, the true objectives and nature of World War II, and Hitler's ambition to "steal" ancient knowledge for his own ends. This German veteran and Ayocuan finally get involved in one of the most dramatic chapters of contemporary history: the invasion of China to Tibet. Ayocuan has the opportunity to travel to Tibet and become student of a Tibetan Lama in the Himalaya Mountains, where he experiences first hand the Chinese communist regime as well as an intense learning program of some of the most sacred spiritual teachings. Finally, and whether you believe the amazing story you just read is true or not, Ayocuan writes about the core of the teachings he received there. He describes a spiritual plan created by the Tibetan to help humankind and their mission in Mexico, a mission that was closely related to the 1968 riots in all the world. And don't worry, I know Adolf Hitler, 1968 and Tibetan Lamas sound like "mumbo jumbo", but when you read the book, it all relates and it all makes sense. Moreover, you begin to understand how many facts of history have been twisted or hidden in order to create a nice fiction we can all live in. This book is a wonderful testimony of faith, spirituality and transformation that needs to be read nowadays. Even if the story you read seems fantasy to you, it is worth it as a compelling and extremely entertaining novel that also introduces you into sacred Tibetan teachings and a spiritual quest. I intensely recommend this novel to you. Even if you don't believe what you read, it's still a wonderful piece of narrative.
