A page-turner

This book stayed true to the awe-inspiring game. Sure, it made not compare to today's games graphically, but the plot and storyline were great, which is why I bought the book, and just couldn't put it down. The book stays grpunded and never becomes to the point where the heroes are virtually invincible-in fact, two of the main characters (of the good side) die.

The Best after Magician

This is one of the best books he has writen, I had not played the rolle-playing game before, but after reading this book I had to play it, and discoverd that Feist has taken a whell made game into a even better book. I have even purchased the hardback version and is exeitingly waiting for the sequel.

New, yet old.

This book was well written, however only to those who've never played the game. For those who have played Betrayal At Krondor (a great game I should say) will find this book rather boring. To me, I practically skimmed it as I know the story so well. If there is a second book to the series though, it should prove better to everybody. I can't degrade the book because it was based on a computer game, so I base it on how well it was written.

Decent book, but not nearly Feist's best!!!

this book lost a lot in that Feist had to follow the game's guidelines, and it left very little room for Feist to use his own creative prowess. Whoever gave Raymond Feist the idea to write this book, I'll never know, but at least Feist makes an interesting story, if not the deepest book in the world!! P.S- Don't get me wrong, Feist is my favorite author ever, but I just had to leave an honest (if harsh) review....

A Winning Game, A Winning Book!

Loosely based on the hit computer game "Betrayal at Krondor" which was co-written by Raymond E. Feist and Neal Hallford, "Krondor the Betrayal" depicts a smashing tale about a moredhel fugitive, a young Kindgom sorcerer, and a dangerous plot that threatens the lives of every man, woman, and child in Midkemia. Set midway between the events of "Darkness at Sethanon" and "Prince of the Blood", "Betrayal" brings us back to characters we already know and love like Seigneurs James ("Jimmy the Hand") and Locklear, Prince Arutha, and many others. If you haven't played the game, then latch on to your second chance at one of the greatest tales ever told in Raymond E. Feist's electrifying Midkemian universe! It's a sure bet to become one of your favorites!
