This opening fold-out contains a general map of Budapest to help you visualize the 6 large districts discussed in this guide, and 4 pages of valuable information, handy tips and useful addresses.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I am a frequent traveler and these are the only books I will buy now. They will generally fit in a coat pocket or easily in a handbag, and are pretty inconspicuous for a map, even if you're walking down the street carrying it. Do go to a bookstore or library to read a proper guidebook first. This has limited information on attractions and restaurants, but not enough to plan a trip. A note on Budapest: Be sure to make the distinction between streets and avenues (Ut versus Utca). They are distinctly different and can be on opposite ends of the city. We learned this the hard way.

This is a great series - easy to carry, invaluable for walking around a city. Bring it instead of a map. Bring another guidebook in addition if you plan to visit a city in depth. I think that these guides, and Access guides, get it right - neighborhood maps with the relevant info all integrated, instead of information arranged by "category" e.g., sights, bars. I have been to more than 50 countries and travel very, very light so my addiction to this guide is genuine.
