Fantastic view of the faces behind WWII

This book is a poignant reminder of the individual sacrifices made by countless families across America during WWII. It holds all the elements that make a book a great read...battles, love, humor, family...I enjoyed this book so much that I purchased a copy for all of the veterans in my family. The author was kind and generous to autograph my copies with personalized inscriptions for each veteran. The book is so easy to connect to on a human level that you finish it feeling as though you were a part of each moment.

A great story about love of country and family

I think this is a wonderful book about a family that loves this country and it's traditions. It speaks to why this country has prospered and grown to be the world leader. It is the strength of the family. Blood is stronger than anything else and this book illustrates this in a straightforward but eloquent way.
