So much wisdom and peace

As a cancer survivor, I've read quite a bit about surviving with grace and strength, but no one says it better than this author. Her wisdom about life is beautiful. Wish I had it years ago!

Must Reading

Kitchen Table Wisdom: Stories That Heal I was given a copy of this book by a colleague many years ago. I only recently read it for the first time, and I now realize what a wonderful gift I received. I know I will reread this book and refer to it many times. The subtitle explains it: "Stories That Heal." I cannot imagine that anyone reading this book thoughtfully would not be deeply rewarded for the time spent. I very rarely have read something that I would recommend to EVERYBODY, but this is one book I WILL recommend to everybody. Epiphany, anyone? File under "Guide for Living Well."

Condensed powerful wisdom

Kitchen Table Wisdom is such a powerful and mind-opening book. Dr. Remen has so much packed into that book, that it's a gift to have the essence of it at my fingertips in this "little" book! For example, "The life in us is diminished by judgment far more frequently than by disease." I have found this to be so true. This is a great book to use as a daily practice for journaling, meditation and reflection. Abby Caplin, MD, MA San Francisco, CA
