Another Exceptional Read By Ms. Bennett!!!

I truly enjoy the stories that Ms. Bennett pens. She creates wonderful characters and situations that draws the reader in. Jenova and Henry share a past. They grew up together and Jenova was always kind to Henry even when her mother wanted her to keep her distance. Years have passed and Jenova married another and Henry earned his place at court. Despite these changes Jenova and Henry have remained good friends. So when Jenova sends word that she would like Henry to come to her holdings, Henry wastes no time and goes to his friend. He has no idea that this time things will be different. Very different. Henry is handsome of face and form, trusted by the King and knights alike. When his good friend Jenova requests that he attend her he does. This widow has always had a small piece of his heart and he will do what he must for her. He is shocked when he finds out that she plans to marry again. Why he should feel this way concerns him but he puts it off. Then they take a ride and find themselves in need of shelter when a snow storm approaches. This is just the spark that needs to be set to the kindle that is their attraction. Now that he has tasted the sweetness of Jenova's kiss he wants more but she is promised to another. Will he forsake all in order to make her his bride or will he step back and allow another to call her wife? Jenova and Henry are wonderfully constructed characters and this story is really very good. Ms. Bennett knows how to weave a story that will captivate the reader. It was entertaining to finally read Henry's story and Ms. Bennett did well by him. Official Reviewer for Romance Designs

Henry knows that the elder Baldessare hates him over a regal land decision so he has doubts about the match. While riding, a sudden snowstorm sends Jenova and Henry seeking shelter. When they find refuge, they hold each other tight for some warmth, but soon make love to the shock of them both. Jenova realizes that she is in love again though has doubts after her first husband's betrayal and Henry hides his feelings. However, the elder Baldessare plays "matchmaker" when he abducts her five-year-old son to force her hand.KISSING THE BRIDE is an engaging Conqueror romance starring delightful protagonists and wonderful secondary players to include a romance between the villain's daughter and Henry's top aid. The villain is so crazy that he seems like a caricature, but then again his actions force the lead couple to confess their inner feelings. Sara Bennett provides a fine historical that fans of the William era will treasure.Harriet Klausner
