Photos Galore Of Rocks Titans: KISS!!!!!

This book is awesome. So great to have all of these classic pics in one place. Barry Levine takes us from his earliest years with the band up until the Reunion Tour and it is a visual blast. The famous NYC Skyline shot is here as well as Spirit Of 76. First pressings of this book included an interview CD with Barry Citing particular times with KISS.I recommend this to all KISS fans.

The definitive Kiss book for those who like pictures

This book is the perfect counterpoint to Dale Sherman's "Black Diamond", which provides all the information you need about Kiss but no pictures. "The Kiss Years" gives you exactly the opposite: there are a few "behind the scenes" stories, but it is the pictures that count. This is a definitive collection of photographs of the most photogenic rock band in history. Other books try to provide a balance between pictures and information. Don't compromise: by purchasing this book and Dale Sherman's you'll get the best of both worlds.

reat,Perfect a must have for any Kiss freak like me

I loved this book I must look at it once a day! I think the stories were fun to read and they weren't mean spirited just stoies. I havr been a Kiss fan since 1977 and They always have and always be the most visual band in history. So if you love Kiss or you just love well taken pictures this book is for you!

Unbelievable Photos...A MUST SEE

There is not much text, but you really won't care because the photos are excellent. My only complaint is that some of the binding decisions were a little off. There are a few photos that cross over two pages & the image is distorted by the fold. For example, the impact of a great shot of Gene Simmons holding a sign that says "No beast so fierce" was lost because the fold cuts through the center of his face. This is just a matter of taste, but then again, so is this review. This is the only thing "wrong" with this book. It is full of wonderful photos & Some interesting anicdotes describing the shots.

The best collection of KISS photos I've ever seen.

When I had first bought THE KISS YEARS, I didn't know what to expect. This title came shrinkwrapped with some really cool surprises, including a KISS trading card and an interview CD featuring the author about his experiences photographing the original KISS-Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss-in their makeup-clad, 1970s heyday. After opening the book's cover, I was amazed at all of the great pictures taken of my favorite rock band. Many of these photos haven't been published in many years; others have been published in color for the first time; but the greatest aspect about THE KISS YEARS is that it contains unpublished out takes of all of my favorite KISS shots-the Empire State Building, Destroyer live (there's some great shots of Gene breathing fire and spitting blood); Love Gun promotional shots featuring the multi-colored background, and the 1976 "sparkle shot" series where Peter and Ace hold illuminated crystal balls. Shortly after purchasing THE KISS YEARS, I was lucky enough to meet the publisher nearby a movie theatre that I frequent (he was wearing an official KISS ARMY leather jacket!). I had my copy of THE KISS YEARS with me, and he signed it for me. Over the past few years, I have bought a lot of KISS-related books. This is one of my absolute favorites. In fact, I bought a second copy to keep in mint condition in my collection.
