Ann Rule: Kiss Me Kill Me

Great true crime stories. Well written by Ann Rule.

Very Intruiging

I heard about this book on a flight when some girls were discussing it. I immediately purchased it during my next lay-over. It was hard to put down. I have quite an interest in forensics and it fascinates me as to how these cases unfold. When I finished this book (during a 4 hour lay-over in Dallas), I went a purchased 2 more of her books. I can't wait to start reading them!!

Well Worth Reading

I enjoyed this book immensely. It had everything, suspense, horror, and of course how the bad guys get caught. Definite reading for anyone. In general Ann Rule's books are very good. I much prefer the ones though that have several different stories in them as opposed to the ones that tell one story only. Again, Ann Rule never disappoints.

This is one of Ann's best

This is a good book, It is as good as all of Ann's other books. I don't agree with the low reviews. And yes there is one repeated story but only one. And there is nothing wrong with reading a story more that once. Ann Rule is the best true crime writer & she always will be. If you like Ann you will like this book. It has 10 stories. One main one & the rest are short. I love these. They are stories that you can sit down & read the whole thing.

An interesting, well written read from a master.

Ann Rule has written another volume of her true case files; this is volume 9 and like the preceding volumes, there is a main novelette type story and a number of smaller stories. As always, she writes in a low key style with an obvious sympathy and compassion for the victims. In this volume, her unifying theme is how would-be lovers become predators and murderers. In almost every case, the murderer is unsympathetic if not an actual psychopath. And in almost every case, the victim is a trusting, naive lamb. The bulk of the stories occur during the 60's and 70's and in many cases, take many years for the perpetrator to be apprehended. Most occur in the Northwest areas of Washington and Oregon. As the reviewer mentions, this story have a particular resonance with the current news stories regarding Scott Peterson and the death of Laci Peterson. The handsome, personable persona over an evil soul continues to fascinate and bewilder us. Although this book is an engrossing read, I much prefer her full length books where she has the time and space to really delve into a story. In fairness, though, these vignettes do not have the depth to be expanded.

I Love It!

Ann Rule Has done It again! This a Great Book of Her Short Stories.Old Cases,Cold Cases. As soon as I learned it was out I ran to the nearest bookstore.I eagerly await for new books by this author and was engrossed by this one.Its a must read for True Crime readers,Forensic types or anyone looking for a good book to read! One of the best I have read by Mrs Rule in a while!
