Great Humorous Send Up of Broadway

This was a charming book that tells the story of two collaborators writing a Bway musical. Horatio King is an elderly famous composer-curmudgeon who hasn't written in years. Ben Willis is a young author. Together they turn Willis's novel "The Worldwide Dessert Contest" - a children's book - into a musical. Mayhem ensues. But what I liked even more than the ride through developing a B'way show was the heartfelt characterizations. A fun book for theater folks - and really anyone else looking for a good read.
