The completely feckless life of the Hendersons should not have ended when Dave & those mangoes were both so ripe. But you know, he would have shrugged it off with his fabulous elan, had he seen it coming (before it was too late). Dave was, perhaps, the Auntie Mame of The Greatest Generation, at Yale, but he took that responsibility lightly. Thanks to James Nelson, his life--stranger than fiction--was not in vain. This is a good read.
funny, heartwarming, real.

James Nelson is a great writer who puts forth his own experience in life in a witty way. He also writes fiction with an interesting charm and wry wit that made me do belly laughs. God bless James Nelson.
