In the wake of her parents unfair punishment and her boyfriend's insensitivity, Jessica welcomes the friendship of Adam Marvel, the magnetic leader of Good Friends, a mysterious cult. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was a great book you need to read as it deals with the loneliness a person can feel and the unloved nature as Jessica is upset with: Sam the boyfriend Her family for grounding her The careless nature of her friends not giving a damn Elizabeth the perfect twin Every once in a while (Book 21, Book 32, and this one), you have Jessica experiencing hostility to her twin for she's the good twin and she's the 'bad' twin, even though nobody has ever said Jessica is a bad twin. Adam Marvel is a real intimidating person that runs 'Good Friends', a brainwashing like cult faction. He easily plays into Jessica's insecurities and really does a brainwash you wouldn't believe as the change in Jessica is scary, and Elizabeth's investigation of the cult like group also leaves her feeling intimidated of how seductive they can be! It's ironic at the end that Ned and Alice knew nothing of the involvement Jessica had, just Steven and Cara were there. I hope Adam Marvel doesn't say to Ned Wakefield he's going to get him and his twins too! There are some good charity groups, but if they turn you into something you're not and take away those that you love, walk away QUICKLY! Don't get converted! Always remember as you read this book that there are friends that do listen and do care, and your family too.
