very effective and simple strategies

This book outlines some simple and effective strategies for making toilet training easy. Most important it helped me set my expectatations. After I read the book, I had a plan. :)

Great book

I really like this book, we've only just started the toilet training process - I have an, at present, very keen 2 yr old boy - and this book provides a gradual, non threatening, (to either child or parent, I'm more apprehensive than my son who will happily spend hours on the toilet trying to force himself to pee!) caring approach based on the work of T. Berry Brazelton whose book Touchpoints was one of my favourites. I didn't like the idea of putting him directly into underpants, even part time, as proposed by Jan Faull in "Mommy I have to go Potty" and this book gave me an alternative which I feel is more appropriate to my son's age and stage of development.

This is a very good book.

We bought this book because we liked the author's book about two year olds. This book has made a huge difference. We were on the way to serious problems, and the suggestions in the book changed everything. This book is so short and simple but it covers everything!

toilet training without an argument!

We were under a lot of pressure to toilet train our child for his pre-school. I don't think we could have done it without the wise advice in this book. Once we really understood what we were doing and had a plan, we relaxed. And, not surprisingly, our son was trained well ahead of time.

Practical and simple. Has many real life examples.

This book presents an approach based on the individual child. It also offers ideas on how to not get desperate when things don't work as planned. The technique goes from the basic letting the child get acquainted with the potty to more specific problems such as the half trained child.
